Almost every day this week boasts something for art lovers -- today there's
an artist's reception at the Orlando Museum of Art for the museum shop's
artist of the month, Robin Maria Pedrero. "Beyond a Little Piece of Sky" is
a collection of luminous pastel works; refreshments will be provided by Café
Tu Tu Tango, a great supporter of the arts in this area.
The year is going fast, the list is coming upPublished December 12, 2004 As an odd calendar quirk would have it, this week has both the 2nd Tuesday and 3rd Thursday events. Uptown, the 2nd Tuesday Gallery Walk along Virginia Drive (between Mills and Orange) will begin at 6:30 p.m. Comma Gallery will feature works by photographer Les Slesnik as well as paintings by several others, including members of the local chapter of the Women's Caucus for Art. Logan's Bistro is showing paintings by Robin Pedrero. Flamingo Gallery features the sensual photography of Mo Mann. The Gallery on Virginia presents paintings by Mary Louise Hart and Hans Naumann, along with art and crafts by about 20 others. Manor Gallery always has a fine selection of works. Many of the venues have live music. It's a great night out!
